STRATEGI KOMUNIKASI PEMERINTAH DESA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN KONFLIK ANTAR ETNIS
Abstract
The Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia is a country that has the most culture in the world, in the diversity of cultures in Indonesia, good communication patterns are needed between communities so that there is no inter-ethnic conflict, in this study which focused on one village called Sebaja Village, Sebaja Village is an abbreviation from the Semende Tribe, the Balinese Tribe, and the Javanese Tribe. In Sebaja Village there is a dispute over plantation land by the Semende Tribe and the Javanese Tribe. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the village government's communication strategy in resolving inter-ethnic conflicts and the village government's strategy in creating cultural harmony between residents.Strategies communication for resolving inter-ethnic conflicts are using the theory of choosing a communication strategy by knowing positive results, leading to moral obligations, threats indicating that punishment will be applied to those who fail to fulfill something, prioritizing the interests of others, this study uses a qualitative descriptive method, by obtaining data through observation, interviews, and documentation.The Results of the research on the village government's communication strategy in resolving inter-ethnic conflicts was good, it can be seen from the positive outcome approach, leading to moral obligations, threats, and prioritizing the interests of others.the village government was able to resolve inter-ethnic conflicts well without having to take it to court then the Sebaja Village government also made threats to the community if anyone made inter-ethnic commotions, they would be dealt with firmly, in resolving conflicts not taking sides with any ethnicity, and always giving directions to always live in harmony with each other, and mutual cooperation was used as a place for to gather and communicate between ethnic groups so that there is no conflict between ethnic groups in Sebaja Village.
