KONSTRUKSI PEMBERITAAN PELECEHAN SEKSUAL PEGAWAI KPI

Abstract

This study seeks to determine the construction of sexual harassment reports on KPI employees in three online media in Indonesia, namely Tirto. id, Kompas.com, and Detik.com. The framework of thinking in this study is the social construction of reality from Berger and Luckman and framing which functions as a theory and method, especially in the analysis of the framing model of Robert N. Entman. This research belongs to the type of qualitative research with a constructivist paradigm. And the method used is the analysis of the framing model of Robert N Entman. The news that became the unit of analysis was news related to sexual harassment of KPI employees during the edition of 02 September- 04 November 2021. The news was grouped into two issues and analyzed using Robert N Entman's framing then the results showed that the news on Tirto.id.com tend to be more partial and flatter the performance of the authorities to investigate this case further, as for Kompas.com. This can be seen from the many factors that cause bullying and sexual harassment at KPI, and the occurrence of miscommunication between perpetrators, victims, and other KPI state institutions. Meanwhile, the news on Detik.com focuses more on that the reality that stood out at first before the investigation was that the harassment was purely an accident and all theemployees who were the perpetrators had been arrested.
