PENGARUH KONDISI MATERIAL DENGAN AKTIVATOR POTASSIUM PADA BETON GEOPOLYMER DARI LIMBAH B3 FLY ASH BATUBARA TERHADAP KUAT TEKAN
Abstract
Generally, concrete is known as material that is composed by the main composition of coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, water and cement. Since the diminishing supply of cement, various studies have been conducted to find environmentally friendly materials as a substitute for cement. This study discusses fly ash-based geopolymer concrete, the result of coal burning at Bukit Asam Tanjung Enim PLTU, South Sumatra with potassium activator. This research was conducted to know the effect of pottasium activator and material conditions, to the compressive strength of the 30 Mpa plan in geopolymer concrete through testing in the laboratory of the Civil Engineering Faculty of Bina Darma University of Palembang by making 18 cylindrical test specimens with diameter 100 mm x 200 mm, with fly ash and Pottasium activators . Test specimens were made using aggregate material conditions in Saturated Surface Dry (SSD) and oven dry at 60° C with 1 hour, with the treatment of cylindrical objects with room temperature until the time the test specimens will be tested.
This research product is a behavioral graph relationship of SSD and oven dry conditions on gopolymer concrete material in receiving compressive load with the Pottasium activator.
From this graph it can be seen that, with the condition oven dry material the fly ash and activator pottasium, it
is stronger in accepting compressive loads with a compressive strength value of fc 30 Mpa.
