Abstract
The cassava plant is a plant that originates from Brazil but has now spread almost throughout the world. Cassava plants are often planted in dry land areas where irrigation relies on rainwater and are generally planted on moorland or home gardens. Efforts to increase cassava production and productivity can be achieved through improving and using superior varieties, intensive farming methods and implementing appropriate planting patterns. Cassava is generally used as a staple food. However, in accordance with technological developments, cassava is not only a staple food, but cassava can be processed into various food preparations, including boiled cassava, roasted cassava, fried cassava, chips, opaque, tape and so on. Apart from that, cassava can be processed into products such as cassava and tapioca flour. Chips are an agricultural product that is popular with the wider community. Making cassava chips is a commercial business called an agribusiness. Agribusiness is any commercial business related to agricultural production activities.
