Abstract

One of the factors that has an important role in the economic development of a country is foreign direct investment. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of government effectiveness, political stability and absence of violence/terrorism, and economic growth on foreign direct investment inflows. This study uses panel data regression in ASEAN countries in 2016-2020. The results of research on government effectiveness and economic growth have a positive and significant impact on foreign direct investment inflows. Meanwhile, political stability and absence of violence/terrorism have a positive but not significant effect.
