Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine whether there was an influence between Population Growth and Inflation Rate on Economic Growth in Indonesia from 2005-2022. The method used was quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis tools. This study used secondary data obtained from Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) with time series data for 18 years, from 2005-2022. The data processing was carried out with the assistance of computer applications, namely the SPSS program.

The results of this study showed that the variables of Population Growth (X1) and Inflation Rate (X2) had a significant influence on Economic Growth in Indonesia simultaneously. However, partially, the Population Growth variable (X1) had a positive and significant influence on Economic Growth in Indonesia, while the Inflation Rate variable (X2) had a negative and significant influence on Economic Growth in Indonesia from 2005-2022. The coefficient of determination indicated that the contribution of the Population Growth and Inflation Rate variables to Economic Growth in Indonesia from 2005-2022 was 82.2%, while the remaining 17.8% was influenced by other variables not included or variables not examined in this study.
